Parking on site

There is free all-day parking on site at the Sydney International Regatta Centre. Entry / Exit is through Gate C on Old Castlereagh Road.

Spectators and competitors please note that it is an approximate 15 minute walk from the carpark across to the Island where the registration / start area is located. As the road is closed to form part of the course, there is no vehicle access to the island. If any spectators are unable to walk the distance over to the island, there are spectator vantage points on the Southern Bank adjacent to the carparks.

Please allow enough time to be across there to collect your race pack and warm up before your race starts.

Public transport

The closest train station to the venue is Penrith Station which is approximately 6km from the venue.

There are no current bus routes that connect the venue directly with the station, so our kind sponsors Quest Penrith will be running a free 12 seat mini-shuttle bus service that picks up and drops off from the Northern Exit of Penrith station right outside their front entrance.

The bus is accessible and will operate on a loop. In peak times there may be a wait. If you think this may affect your chance of arriving in time for your race, please consider a taxi or rideshare service from the station.

If you are not a local, avoid traffic stress before the big race and stay at Quest Penrith. To stay the night prior to the event, you can book a Studio Apartment, a One Bedroom Apartment or a Two Bedroom Apartment.

Call Quest Penrith on 02 9136 1100 and mention the Western Sydney Marathon deal to book your stay or get more information.

Taxis / Rideshare

Being a major transport hub, you will be able to utilise taxi / rideshare services between Penrith Station and the venue.

Just have them drop off / pick up at Sydney International Regatta Centre on Old Castlereagh Road.

Road Closures

The section of Old Castlereagh Road between Gate B of the Sydney International Regatta Centre through to PLDC Gate 15 will be closed to traffic between 6am and 1pm on race day.

Please follow any instructions given to you by the traffic marshalls as you enter / exit the venue.
